This section of the guide will let you start the game in few easy steps. |

| Step 1  |
(1) Press START to launch the game. (2) Press HELP to get an extensive information about different aspects of the game. |

| Step 2  |
As you can see, the HELP covers many important topics. |
||||
| Step 3  |
To start the game, you must choose your characters first. All characters differ in skills and talents. (1) Anytime you see the blue icon in right-top corner, press Help button (default key 1) to get more information about the active object on the screen. |

| Step 4  |
Having the character selected you may: (1) Create your own game. (2) Or join the multiplayer game created by someone else. If you play The Roots for the first time, choose NEW GAME. |

| Step 5  |
When you create your own game you must decide if it will be: (1) A single-player game. (2) Or a multiplayer game to be played with other N-Gage users via Bluetooth. |

(1) Enter TUTORIAL to learn the game in action.. (2) ..or skip it and PLAY the GAME immediately. |
