| June 20, 2005 - Update In our weekly updates we provide you with some more insights into The Roots: Gates of Chaos: the game's world, its story, characters, game mechanics etc. Today, we recommend checking another part of Storyline section with comments from the developers. The first chapter (Woodlands) has been added today. If you missed the Introduction last week you can always check it here. For maps and detailed information on the second chapter, The Arazath Mountains, please head to Locations column. Furthermore, a new column starts today - Characters. Here we want to present each of the playable characters in detail - the statistics, available skills and talents. For the first hero, Paladin, click here. The Characters section will soon be enriched with gamers submitted hints, tips and strategies on playing each of the characters. | June 14, 2005 - New content Today's update brings the second part of the guide (First steps) called Basic combat. The guide covers most important aspects of battles in The Roots, teaches how to assign and use spells, explains what Anime is and more. Read it here. Additionally, The Storyline column has been added. That is where we want to go thru the game's story and gradually, chapter by chapter, tell you more about the land of Lorath, the conflicts that shattered it and the Orb of Chaos. The original in game text and the pictures are enriched with comments from the development team members. It is a must-read and the first part is available here. Furthermore, resources on the in-game locations are available is Locations column immediately below Storyline. You will find each location's map, quest description, enemies list and quest items drop info. The first chapter, The Woodlands, is available at this link. Ever wondering about the set items in The Roots, how they work and which set suit best a particular character class? Answers are available in Set items column where plenty of information on the in-game Sets and their various attributes can be found. First four sets are described here. |
